Event Announcement: The Arc of Mecklenburg County and the United Way of the Central Carolinas
SafeFest 2008 Independence Park 300 Hawthorne Lane Charlotte, NC 28204 May 10th 2008, 10am - 2pm (In case of inclement weather, SafeFest will be held at Albemarle Road Recreation Center)
The Arc of Mecklenburg County and the United Way of the Central Carolinas are partnering to present the First Annual SafeFest, a health and safety festival designed to educate, equip, and inspire children with developmental disabilities and their families to apply safety lessons in their everyday lives. Local government, non-profits, churches, and corporations have joined the effort to make SafeFest 2008 a memorable event for these special kids!

I attended Wilson Technical Community College where I received a certificate in Deaf Studies. I serve on the board for Covenant with North Carolina's Chidren as the new co-chair for the MH/DD/SAS Committee.
